FAQs

This depends on the geographical location of the area of interest and the number of satellites employed for the task. As a rule of thumb, basic service provides 15 images per month and premium services go up to 1 image per day.

Our digital platform EOS Viewer works as a SaaS (Software as a Service) provided by subscription. We have different plans, and the payment can be done monthly or annually.

The spatial resolution of the satellite images we use can go from 50 cm to 20 m, depending on the use case. Detailed monitoring demands very high resolution satellites while generic surveillance requires wider coverage, what normally implies coarser resolution.

We provide global satellite-based monitoring. Any area in the world can be surveyed as far as there is a satellite overflying it and there is no explicit regulatory constraint.

We use both, radar and optical satellites leveraging the synergy between sensors and the improved monitoring capacity.

We use AIS data and ancillary information to identify the potential source of oil spills, wether they are offshore facilities, ships, wrecks or natural reservoirs.

EOS Viewer uses advanced oil spill drift & weathering forecasting with a spatial resolution of 100 m in premium services. Our benchmark models run in supercomputing centres sited in CMCC Italy.
